At first I was skeptical since this is cheaper than the dbrand darkplates and I was concern with the quality and the little reviews at the time of this writing. I took a gamble and bought these since I'm not waiting a month for dbrand to ship their darkplates to me. When I received it, it was well packaged as there was bubble wrap and styrofoam in between the two plates. To me, it looks nice. It is matte black and is similar to the OEM plates from Sony. Installation was easy, where I watch people take off and put on plates and after doing that, I was finished with installation. The design looks nice, sleek, and doesn't stand out anymore. I also got this way cheaper than dbrand and had free shipping from Amazon, which is a steal. To me, the quality seems good and I didn't get any damages on the plate from shipping and handling. The downsides are the fact that these plates doesn't have the PlayStation logo, which I can understand from Sony's previous attempts from other plates companies, and the loss of the Xs and Os from the design, which I don't care. Overall, if you care about money and can't wait for dbrand to ship their darkplates to you, this is the one.
