I installed the 2TB drive into my gaming rig (Ryzen 9-7950X/RTX3800 12GB) and gave it a quick test. Without a heatsink (bad idea!) it ran pretty hot and started throttling at about 70 degrees C. I installed the Asus aluminum slab and that did the trick. Don't know how effective the little piece of included aluminum sheet is as I never tested it, but it rose no higher than 62 degrees C after hammering it with about 200GB of writes.Now for the good part. IT IS FAST! It met its spec's nicely at 7043GB/sec reads and 6384 GB/sec writes. This is a lot of performance for something that has dropped in price so precipitously over the last year or so. Unless you really need a 14+ terabyte hard drive I think spinners are all but dead.I've heard that Adata has good customer service, though I've never needed it. a 5 Yr. warranty is great and the TBW is better than average. Best of all, even at this price, it has DRAM, it is a TLC not a QLC drive so faster huge writes and longer life. I love it and recommend it.
